We live at a time when Biblical truth is being shouted down by those without the Church, and sadly, by some within the Church. Any who have the courage to publically speak up in defense of Biblical truth and the moral values that are foundational to the Christian life are mocked, ridiculed, and maligned as hatemongers. The intent is to silence the truth through intimidation. And it can be effective. One needs only look around him to see the moral decay in society. Primetime TV shows that target our youth regularly feature promiscuity, adultery, fornication, and homosexuality as positive lifestyle choices. Violence of the most hideous nature, full frontal nudity, and sexual immorality of every sort  are unashamedly portrayed on giant movie screens to the cheers and applause of audiences whose consciences have been shaped by satanic forces. The internet has allowed the decibel level of those seeking to drown out the voice of God to be raised to deafening proportions. So loud has the voice of the enemy become that even some Christian denominations are forsaking the Truth.

It is in the midst of this cacophony of lies that the Holy Spirit speaks to His children. But His is not the loud shouting used by the enemy. His is the still, small voice, the whisper that speaks to the spirit of those who are called by His name. It need not be loud for it speaks truth and when truth is proclaimed even the most violent storm is calmed.

He who has an ear let him hear what the Spirit says to your spirit. Thus, you shall overcome all the lies that seek to destroy you.

From time to time I will be posting articles that I have written on a variety of subjects. I believe it is becoming increasingly necessary to publically take a stand for Biblical truth regardless of the cost. The attempts to silence the truth are coming from our local, state, and federal governments as laws are being enacted that criminalize living out a Christian worldview. Unbelievers mock and ridicule Christians and the Bible. Sadly, some denominations and those who are Christian in name only are also forsaking the truth as they are being conformed to a non-Christian worldview.
The articles I post will be for the purpose of reminding the Church of the truth. They will not always be welcome and they most certainly will not be politically correct. But they will be the words I believe the Holy Spirit has whispered to my spirit. It is these that I share. The purpose of the articles is not to offend, but  hopefully to enlighten and encourage. Nevertheless, it must be clearly understood that truth will always offend someone.

Should Christians watch "R" rated movies?

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is an "R" rated movie that was the subject of a christianitytoday.com blog. Karen Swallow Prior, a professor at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, and frequent contributor to the her.meneutics christianitytoday blog, saw this movie during a "Girls Night Out" event. Given the brutality and pornographic content of this movie it seems an odd entertainment choice. Yet, it is simply another example of the mainstreaming of pornography. Read my response to Prior's blog at The Cypress Times entitled Consuming Garbage.

If the vast majority of the population of America identify themselves as Christians how is it that politicians who are openly pro-abortion and pro-homosexual get elected and re-elected? Read my lastest column for The Cypress Times Christians Help Advance the Kingdom of the Beast for my thoughts on the subject.

Ten years ago America was attacked by Islamic radicals. Why would God allow al-Qaeda, an organization that is the embodiment demonic evil, to attack and kill so many Americans on American soil when America is the standard-bearer of Christainity throughout the world?

I answer that question in an article I wrote for The Cypress Times entitled "9/11 - THE DAY AMERICA WAS SHAKEN"

The question that now must be answered is: Did America learn the lesson God was teaching us?
